Kennedy Byrd is a 2L at the University of Miami School of Law and is a Junior Editor with the Race and Social Justice Law Review. Kennedy is originally from North Carolina and a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in Journalism with a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Social & Economic Justice. Kennedy is interested in pursuing a career within the sports field and especially interested in the policy necessary to bring equity to women athletics. At the University of Miami, Kennedy is on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association as the Vice President, a student intern for the Innocence Clinic, and a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Last summer Kennedy interned with Diverse Representation as a Research Intern and as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Donald L. Graham in the Southern District of Florida. She will be working as a Summer Associate for Parker Poe in Atlanta, GA this semester.
